What’s New in Ticklio This August: A Faster, Smarter, More Connected Platform

Ticklio never stands still. Behind every matchday, our team keeps refining the platform, release after release, so that clubs and organizers get a system that’s faster, clearer, and more reliable every time they open it. This month’s update is one of our biggest steps yet, touching almost every part of the platform: the point of sale, the entry gate, marketing, the checkout your customers see, and the tools that tie a whole season together.

Here’s what’s new.

A Faster, Smarter Point of Sale

The box office is where speed matters most, and it’s where this update delivers some of its biggest gains. Selling is now quicker and calmer, even on a busy matchday:

    • One sale, multiple matches, and season tickets and single-match tickets can now go through the same sale, printed on their own templates
    • Quick seat adding, tap 1, 2, 3 or 4 for the group in front of you, or type any number for a school taking 60 or an ultras section taking hundreds, with seats kept together where it matters
    • Volume deals, run offers like a fourth ticket free, or every fourth season ticket free, applied automatically at the till and online
    • Tapping a payment method is the sale, no redundant confirmation click, and cash change is calculated automatically instead of in the cashier’s head while a queue waits
    • A cart that survives a page refresh, a browser crash, or an accidental “back”, plus a one-click undo for the last item added
    • Order search right from the till, by number, surname, or email, including online purchases, with one-click reprint of the last sale

The floor plan is clearer too, with a colour legend for free, locked, occupied, and in-this-sale seats, live occupancy per stand (“128 / 1650 · 8%”), and season ticket holders correctly counted toward how full a stand really is. And because a fast till is only as good as the person using it, a full seller’s guide is now built into the platform under Settings, so staff can check exactly how to open the till, sell, print, and close a shift without leaving the screen they work on.

Confidence at the Gate and the Shift’s End

Selling is only half the job. This update also tightened the parts around it, the entry devices and the end-of-shift accounting, so nothing slips through the cracks.

Entry devices now report their own status, so it’s immediately clear whether a gate is active, and every scanned ticket is logged, which device, when, and who scanned it. Crucially, staff can now see how many people have passed through validation at any moment, so the team always knows exactly how many visitors are inside the venue, with a double-scanned ticket still counting as one person. When a shift closes, the cash drawer is counted against an expected total, the report shows the difference, and a copy goes to both the club’s admins and to Ticklio. Card providers like Stripe and Revolut are now shown separately instead of lumped together, and the till warns you if it loses connection to the server, exactly the moment a second tap used to cause a double sale.

There’s also a reassuring detail for event day itself: both the point of sale and the check-in screen now show who’s on support duty from the Ticklio side, along with a contact number, so if anything ever needs a hand during an event, help is one tap away, always.

Smarter VIP Invitations and Attendance Confirmations

The biggest marketing focus in this update was attendance confirmation, the tool clubs use to invite guests, partners, or VIPs and know exactly who’s coming. It’s now far more flexible and far more reliable.

Take a real example. When HK Olimpija invites guests to a match, they send an RSVP invitation, and the guest simply taps a response: “I’m coming”, “I’m coming +1”, or a decline, all in a single tap, no forms. Each outcome, sign-up, cancellation, a changed mind, a plus-one, or a scanned ticket at the door, now has its own dedicated page, because each one means something different. A cancellation matters as much as a sign-up, since it frees a seat back up.

The improvements that made this dependable run deep:

    • Confirmations can go to any list, not just a fixed VIP segment, so a club can invite its partners, sponsors, or any group it chooses
    • The invitation carries the club’s own branding, its crest, banner, and sign-off, on the email and on every page a guest lands on after responding, no more platform branding on a club’s own invitation
    • The match is a tag, so one invitation template with the event name, date, and venue is correct for every fixture of the season
    • Every response page follows the invitation’s design, so a dark VIP invitation stays dark right through to the confirmation, instead of dropping the guest onto a plain white page

Under the hood, this is where a long list of fixes landed: the “I’m coming” click no longer breaks the page a guest sees the moment they accept, links survive being broken across lines in an email, campaigns reliably send, and a “test sent” now means a message actually left. The result is an invitation flow a club can genuinely trust for its most important guests.

All of it sits on a proper media library, introduced in the same series: every image the panel holds, in one place, with a visual grid, drag-and-drop upload, and copy-address, so a mistyped URL can never leave a broken logo in front of a whole guest list again.

A Smoother Checkout for Your Customers

The buyer’s experience got noticeably slicker too. Entering an address is now quicker and harder to get wrong:

    • The postcode fills in the town, type a postal code and the city is recognized automatically; where a code could mean more than one place, the checkout simply offers the options to choose from
    • The phone code follows the country, pick a country and the dialing code updates on the phone field automatically
    • Clear, separate newsletter opt-ins, next to the email field, buyers can choose to hear from the organizer they’re buying from and from Ticklio, and the same tick-box choice for SMS sits right by the phone field

Small touches, but together they make buying a ticket feel effortless, which is exactly where a fan’s attention should stay.

Built for a Whole Season, Not Just One Match

Some of the most useful additions here are the ones that think in seasons. Setting up match after match used to mean repeating the same work; now the platform does more of it for you:

    • A “duplicate for the next match” wizard that turns last week’s fixture into the next one, new opponent, new date, and everything tied to it, sales windows, gates, and early-bird pricing, all shifted along with the match
    • Events that publish themselves, a new match is added to the organizer’s own page the moment it’s created, with no extra clicks, and removed again with a single one when needed
    • A preview link before going live, so an organizer can check the whole setup, floor plan, prices, and everything else, exactly as a customer would see it, before it ever reaches their website
    • Embeddable ticket-buying, the purchase flow can live directly on a club’s own website, as several clubs already do on theirs
    • Event content written from templates, so a duplicated match no longer quietly carries the previous opponent’s name into its description, image alt text, or Google listing
    • Web addresses that name the actual match, ending with the date it’s played, so two meetings of the same two clubs are never confused

Season Dashboards and Reliable Pricing

This update also introduced a new Season dashboard that gives a club its whole season on one page: total revenue, tickets sold, average basket, and returning-buyer share; revenue by month; how each match’s sales built in the weeks before kickoff; when people buy and when they arrive; how they pay; and which matches need attention. Every number is the same money counted the same way, so the totals always reconcile.

Pricing is more robust as well. Presale windows can now close by a rule, “the day before at 23:59”, that moves automatically when a match is rescheduled, so a window can no longer expire before the night it was meant to cover. And a duplicated match now gets its own pricing windows instead of quietly pointing back at the fixture it was copied from.

Always Moving Forward

This update is a lot of work in one place, but the theme behind it is simple: a platform that holds up under pressure, saves clubs time across a whole season, and keeps getting more solid with every release. It’s another reminder that Ticklio is far more than a way to sell a ticket, it’s the system a modern club runs on.

More reliable, more connected, release after release.
